Kimberly is a professional vocal instructor concentrating on the Speech Level Singing (SLS) technique created and developed by Maestro Seth Riggs. This technique has been used since the late 1950s by 130 plus Grammy Award winning singers, several Tony Award winning performers as well as vocalists who have achieved the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Award. The SLS technique applies to all levels of experience, freeing up the voice and giving the student skills to sing any genre of music. For more information on SLS and Seth Riggs please visit www.speechlevelsinging.com and/or www.sethriggs.com.
Currently Kimberly teaches 45-50 voice lessons per week. Students’ ages range from 5 to 70 years old. Amateurs and professionals alike come to her from a variety of musical backgrounds. This is largely due to her ability to quickly diagnose a vocalist's problem area and help them gain (or rediscover) the full potential of their instrument. Vocal rehabilitation, developing vocal stamina and preparing for an audition are a few of Kimberly's fortes. Having used the SLS technique herself to rebuild her own singing voice, Kimberly is able to communicate the SLS vocal technique in such a way that students achieve goals rapidly and are continually growing as vocalists.
Some of her students work professionally in Las Vegas productions including "Phantom of the Opera", "Legends In Concert", "American Superstars", "Jubilee", "Toni & Tina's Wedding", and TI Sirens to name a few. She also instructs many singers who perform nightly in lounges, cabarets and for corporate events.
Kimberly is equally comfortable and experienced with younger students who are just realizing their vocal abilities. She has helped many aspiring singers successfully prepare for their enrollment audition at The Las Vegas Academy Performing Arts School.
